Chief Advisor orders to quickly bring those involved in bank robbery under law

Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has ordered that those involved in the bank robbery, against whom there are specific allegations, be brought to justice immediately.
The Finance Ministry presented the report titled 'Bangladesh's Economy: Recent Challenges and Future Actions' to the Chief Advisor on Sunday. The Chief Advisor gave these instructions to the concerned parties there.
Later in the afternoon, the Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam announced this information at a news briefing organized by the Chief Advisor's Press Wing at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital.
The Press Secretary said, "The Chief Advisor has said that those who are involved in bank robberies, against whom there are specific allegations, should be brought under the law very soon. They should not remain outside the ambit of the law. He has emphasized that they should be brought under the law at any cost."
The press secretary said that the Governor of Bangladesh Bank said that all the assets of S Alam have been seized. Some measures have also been taken against the mobile financial services company Nagad. There have also been discussions about bringing back the assets that have gone out of the country.
Citing the words of the Bangladesh Bank Governor, the press secretary said that 12 oligarchs or those involved in bank robbery or taking money abroad have been identified.
In addition, the Chief Advisor has asked the Governor to ensure the autonomy of Bangladesh Bank, the Press Secretary said. In the briefing, he said that the Governor has said that he is working on this issue.

Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary of the chief advisor, said that those who were present at the meeting said that Bangladesh's economy has turned around, has turned around very well. The main indicators clearly show that the economy has turned around. Export growth has increased by 10 percent in 5 months, import growth has also increased. New jobs are being created. Inflation, which was once as high as 12 percent, has now come down to 9 percent, meaning 'single digits'. Inflation is coming down due to work. They firmly believe that it will come down to 7.5 percent by July.
